Richmond Hill, Ontario Real Estate
Information on Community, Listings, Schools and Sale Reports
Richmond Hill has recently been one of the fastest growing municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area. Its northern neighbourhoods (Westbrook, Jefferson, Oak Ridges, Lake Wilcox, Devonsleigh and Rouge Woods) have been growing with new detached homes and amenities such as parks and trails to attract new home buyers and keep the existing residents in the Town. Southern and central neighbourhoods have also been experiencing growth in new home sales, but much of this has been of the infill nature to compliment the existing, older properties.
The eighteen neighbourhoods that make up Richmond Hill are listed below with the sales for freehold properties separated into the various property types. Throughout the town most of the sales are detached homes. But townhomes and townhouses, linked homes and semi-detached homes have been constructed, allowing for a broader spectrum of buying options, styles, elevations and price ranges for new home owners.
Below is all the information for the March, 2015 through August, 2015 total sales and average prices in each of the Neighbourhoods of Richmond Hill. If you are interested in the listing or final sales price for any of these properties, please call me at (905) 883-8300, or e-mail me at:
For the six months from March 1, 2015 to September 3, 2015 the greatest number of homes were sold in Jefferson, Oak Ridges and Rouge Woods. Most of the recent new homes have been built here, so it is understandable that home buyers are attracted to these neighbourhoods. Most of the Townhome sales have come from Jefferson, Langstaff and Rouge Woods. The most expensive sales on average come from Bayview Hill, South Richvale and Rural Richmond Hill with its larger estate homes on one and two-acre properties. With a casual glance at the figures it appears that the overall home sale price average falls between $700,000 and $800,000. All statistics courtesy of Toronto Real Estate Board.
