East Gwillimbury is rapidly becoming one of the fastest growing municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area. Its neighbourhoods, especially Holland Landing, Sharon and Mount Albert are beginning to grow with new detached homes and amenities to attract new buyers and keep the existing residents in the Town. The five neighbourhoods that make up East Gwillimbury are listed below with the sales for freehold properties separated into the various sales categories. The styles of the properties sold are, also, listed by neighbourhood. For the First Six Months of 2012, it is interesting to note that the greatest number of sales occurred in Mount Albert followed by Holland Landing in second place. Most of the recent new homes have been built here, so it is understandable that home buyers are attracted to these neighbourhoods. As well, townhomes and townhouses have been constructed allowing for a broader spectrum of price ranges for new home owners.

Once again, Mount Albert had the greatest number of sales in the first half of 2012 followed by Holland Landing, while Rural East Gwillimbury experienced the fewest sales but had the greatest average sold price followed closely by Sharon.
